Cameron Presbyterian Church
"A Unique Small Church Experience in a Historic Community"

Mission Statement

Cameron Presbyterian Church is a welcoming community of faith enthusiastic about caring for each other and serving those in need locally and throughout the world. Challenged by the study of God's word and inspired by the Holy Spirit through worship, our mission is to be a positive and relevant witness to Christ in today's world, spreading the word and love of God to all people.

Our Mission Statement reflects who we are and serves as a guide to the Session and Congregation in making decisions and in planning activities. Recently the church developed a long-range plan that was designed to further our community endeavors and to enhance our commitment to our core beliefs. We are, indeed, a faith-based congregation seeking to understand God's will for us through prayer, our individual actions and our interactions with others.

Our Community

Cameron Presbyterian Church offers a “small church experience” in historic Cameron, North Carolina. It was founded in 1879 and is surrounded by a rural community from which it draws most of its 114 members. We have recently welcomed several new members from a nearby retirement community and are being visited by several others from the same community. Our average worship attendance is approximately 60 to 65 and our Sunday school attendance is approximately 20.

Our Peace Making – Outreach Efforts

Cameron Presbyterian Church supports both denominational and non-denominational causes in its Peace Making and Outreach projects. Annually, our membership supports the Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care www.sandhillscoalition.org through clothing drives and cash donations. In addition, our members support the local CROP Walk, Blanket Tree offerings, Empty Stocking Fund and local, national and international mission efforts.
